Summary: 

The Pavilion Payments Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies, and supporting the financial operations of our gaming payments company. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and compliance, to streamline processes and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily/monthly reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Record and review journal entries, ensuring proper classification and documentation.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end close procedures, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed asset accounting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Analyze financial data and trends to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations.
  • Generate ad-hoc financial reports and assist in the preparation of management reports.
  • Process and review invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests.
  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve any billing issues or discrepancies.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal controls and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and automation.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining accounting software and financial systems.
  • Participate in system upgrades, conversions, and integration projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the technology or gaming industry.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software applications, such as QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Oracle NetSuite ERP
